For those who’re looking to spend a night or two in the warm heart of Nieu Bethesda, Nagenoeg (meaning “near enough” in Afrikaans) is the most centrally situated guest house in the village.
Even better, for those who’re getting married, it’s only three metres from Die Waenhuis wedding venue.
A charming, self-catering “golden oldie”, Nagenoeg is situated on the corner of Martin and Hudson streets, and has three bedrooms; two have double beds and one has two single besds, which makes it perfect for a family stay.
Features include one shared bathroom with a bath (but no shower), a large dining room, and a sun-drenched kitchen. During winter, you can cosy up to the fireplace in the lounge or entertain the family in the games room.
Whip up a meal in the kitchen – Nagenoeg has a fridge, two-plate stove, microwave and more, or have a braai outside while your kids run around in the large garden. Do note, however, that the property is not fenced in for pets.
Rate R250 a person a night self catering. R500 for single. R125 for children under 12
